Frequently asked questions

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com or open your purchase history in the App Store app and select the Parselet purchase to request a refund. We do not process refunds directly.

What are the system requirements?

Parselet requires macOS 15 or later. Tier 1 AI features (parse-error explanations) additionally require macOS 26 or later. Tier 2 AI features (large-file summaries) additionally require an Apple Silicon Mac with 16 GB or more of memory. The application's core editing, validation, and conversion functionality works on any supported Mac without AI.

Why are the AI features unavailable on my Mac?

Tier 1 AI uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models, available only on macOS 26 and later. Tier 2 AI uses an on-device open-weights model that requires Apple Silicon (M1 or later) with at least 16 GB of memory. Intel Macs and Apple Silicon Macs with 8 GB are not supported for Tier 2; the rest of Parselet works normally on those machines.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email [email protected] with a clear description. Including your macOS version, the file format involved, and any relevant logs or screenshots helps us respond faster.

Does Parselet send my data anywhere?

No. All file processing, validation, conversion, and AI inference run entirely on your Mac. No file contents, prompts, or AI inputs and outputs are transmitted to any server. See our Privacy Policy at https://parselet.app/privacy/ for full detail.

How do I update Parselet?

Updates are delivered through the Mac App Store. Open the App Store app, click Updates, and install any pending Parselet update. You can also enable automatic updates in macOS System Settings.

Will I be charged for updates?

No. Parselet is a single one-time purchase. All future updates, including major new features, are included free.

Can I use Parselet offline?

Yes. Parselet is fully functional without an internet connection. The Mac App Store may require a connection for the initial download and for receipt validation.
